The coffee giant says it has simplifie recipes to includemore high-quality ingredients like wholr grains, blueberries from Oregon and cherriess from Michigan. “Starbucks customers have been telling us that they want bettee tasting and healthier food optionz when they visitour stores,” said Starbucks food categor vice president Sandra Stark in a news releasse announcing the new menus. “We answered their call with a deliciouds new menu of food made with real ingredientds and morewholesome options.
” New menu items includs a blueberry oat bar, a farmer’s marketf salad and banana walnut bread that Starbucksx says “is nearly 30 percent real Starbucks has been expanding its food menu in the last two yearss to entice customers to visit more and to spenxd more per visit. The company was also amongf the first restaurant chains in the country to ban trans fat from its food and Starbucks (NASDAQ: SBUX) is closing hundred of locations and cutting thousands of jobs to trim expenses as revenue falls. The company reported salee fell 8 percentlast quarter, following a 9 percentg decline in first quarter sales.
