U.S. District Judge John Antoon II Tuesdaygsentenced Amodeo, the former leader of , to 22 yearxs and six months in federal prison for conspirinf to commit wire fraud, obstructing an agenc y proceeding, impeding the and failing to remity payroll taxes. Amodeo also will lose more than $1 million seizesd from various accounts as well asthrese homes, luxury vehicles, commercial real a Learjet and his corporations. Antoobn also ordered Amodeo topay $181 million, the amoun prosecutors with the U.S. Attorney’s Office say he owes in payrollotax funds. Amodeo to the charges last September.
A one-time player in the failed Trum p TowerTampa project, he reportedly purchased the assetxs of the 52-story towe along with a second related projecft in Clearwater.
