Cincinnati United Contractors will buildthe $19 milliojn facility adjacent to the headquarters of . The privatelu owned maker of nails, staples, screws and fasteners will move its 164 corporate employees from administrative officeasin Newport, its manufacturing plant in Andersonj Township and several small offices throughout Clermont County, to the new facilithy in spring 2009. In its application to the stat e forgrant funds, Sencorp pledged to add 15 new jobs over the next thre e years. The awarded the firm a $315,000 rapid outreachy grant to help fund machineryand equipment. Clermont County will grant thefirm $63,000.
The headquarters relocation is the latest in a series of real estat moves bythe firm. Last April, it consolidated its Cincinnati operation of into one plant on Broadwell Road inAnderson Township. It had previously operated a second plan acrossthe street. In the firm cut 125 jobs at its plants as it move operations overseas to Taiwan and China and facexslower sales.
