The money spengt locally from the Americahn Recovery and Reinvestment Act so far includes increased payments forMedicaid services, increaseed unemployment benefits to laid-ofd workers, and one-time $250 checks to Social Securitgy recipients, the state report said. More than $1 billion is cominb to the state from the stimulus program over the nextfour months, the reporrt said. • $1.2 million for meals to low-income seniors. $7 million in research grants to Universitg of Colorado doctorsand scientists.
