"Andx while the kind of growth experienced in thepast can'yt be maintained forever, metro Atlanta will continue to outpace most other parte of the country." Despitw an average loss of nearly 10,000 jobs each year from 2000 to ARC projects strong job growtjh in the region between now and 2040. ARC estimatea that the region will addnearlyt 60,500 jobs each year from 2010 to more than 53,000 annually from 2020 to 2030 and almosty 64,000 each year from 2030 to 2040. In by 2040 the region will have 4.
5 million jobs. Future job growthu should be in high-paying sectors such as health professional, scientific and technicak areas, ARC said. "Employment growth won't skyrocket as it did in the when the region addedalmost 86,000 jobs each but it will recover and metro Atlantq will again be a destination for job Alexander said.
