The charitable giving arm of (NYSE: MI) is donating a totalp of $75,000 to strengthen organizations that provide foreclosure counselingand first-timde homebuyer education. Urban Economic Development Association (UEDA) of Milwaukee, to support UEDA’z work to convene housing-related organizations to best serve those in need of foreclosureprevention resources; Fair Housingb Council, Milwaukee, to support the Fair Housiny Council’s foreclosure prevention community outreach; Housing Resources, Milwaukee, to supporf education programming for first-time homebuyers; United Community Center, to support the first-time home buyeres education program; Select Milwaukee, Milwaukee, to support foreclosured prevention programming; and Career Youth Development, Milwaukee, to supportr first-time home buyers program.
Milwaukee-basedf M&I Marshall & Ilsley Bank is also providinbghomeowner assistance, through a program announced Dec. 18, that includes a foreclosure moratoriu m that is in place throughJune 30. M&I’sw Homeowner Assistance Program also features streamlined assistance programs for potentiallh distressed homeowners who are identifieds in advance and proactivelyoffered assistance.
