UT’s statement partly solved the air of myster surrounding the June 3 closur of the iconic Aglian o family establishment frequentedby Tampa’s powerbrokers. The college said that a company, not identifiefd due to a confidentiality bought the city block borderes by Kennedy Boulevard on the Brevard Avenue onthe east, North A Streetf on the north and Nortuh Boulevard on the west. The transactionm closed June 3. UT acquirede about 57,760 square feet of the eastern portio ofthe tract, which totals about 130,000 square “Over time, title to the tracf purchased by the company is expected to reverr to the University of Tampa.
Developmentf of this tract of land will be of help in addressint academic and other space needs both in the near term and said amedia release. UT declined to provide sale detaile or to comment on what it intend to do withthe property. “Aglian o family members have been good neighbors and friends for many and we are happy to reach an agreement with them on the UT said.
